Self-Catering vs. Serviced properties
Elegant Retreats represents self-catering London apartments and homes, as well as serviced flats, which are a fantastic compromise between an apartment and renting a hotel while on holiday or traveling for business.
Self-catering homes and flats are privately owned and available for short-lets, usually between 1 and 4 weeks. They are cleaned prior to your arrival and after departure, but otherwise you are on your own for keeping up after yourself during your stay. Most privately-owned flats and houses rent for a minimum of 1 week.
Serviced flats and apartments provide the amenities of renting a fully furnished home, with the added benefit of concierge, cleaning services, and in some cases food preparation. Serviced properties are similar to what you might call an Apartment Hotel. They are available for stays less than a week, and they offer more flexibility with regard to arrival and departure than a privately-owned or self-catering rental.
