Flat Description:

Chelsea Lodge Two Bedroom Flat  – This flat is a sweet surprise in a quiet and lovely area of fashionable Chelsea. Recently refurbished and in a classic contemporary style, a smart, moderately spacious and light-filled luxury self-catering apartment rental in London with large master bedroom, small second bedroom with bunk beds, two bathrooms and good size living and dining area adjacent to an open plan kitchen.

Raised ground floor, lots of light coming in through the many windows, crisp white walls and a mix of modern and classic furnishings in black, white, gray and violet. Honey-colored wood floors in the main living and kitchen area, with soft woven carpeting in the bedrooms. Views out each of the tall windows face the pretty walled garden outside.

When we visited on a Sunday brunch time, there was beautiful singing wafting in the windows from a choral group practicing at the nearby arts center.  It was soft and melodic and wonderful, increasing slightly in volume on a walk around the corner to the Chelsea Physic garden – really gorgeous music, and a total treat.

Broad, extra wide and very comfortable sofa easily seating 3 and 4, coffee table/settee, built-in bookcases, flatscreen TV, fancy and fanciful oversized armchair under the bright wall of windows overlooking the walled garden beyond. Two padded cube chairs complete seating options, or can double as footstools.  The sitting room extends into the adjacent dining area and open plan modern kitchen.

The layout and attractive decor of the open sitting room makes it the perfect sort of place to entertain while on holiday, perhaps conduct a casual business dinner or simple meeting. Otherwise, it has the feeling of an elegant family flat, with very nice gathering space in the open-plan front room.

The dining area, just next to the seating area, has a stylish and unobtrusive clear table seating 4, with 3 clear chairs and a fourth in the second bedroom doubling as a desk chair.

The kitchen is open and modern, with lots of smart cabinetry and counter space, oven, stovetop, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher.

Master Queen Bedroom: Extra large master bedroom with 5′ 6″ King bed, large closets, built in dressing table and mirror and shelves, as well as views out to the walled garden. En suite bathroom with tub and shower-over-tub.

Twin/Bunk Room: Two bunk beds, more suitable for young travelers or good friends on holiday together. The room is small, but offers good storage, clever space saving features (like a slide out nightstand/tabletop at the bedsides, reading lamps, underbed storage) and the convenience of a desk space for anyone on a working holiday.

The window looks out to an interior courtyard garden a half-level below.

Bathrooms: Master bathroom en suite with tub and shower-over-tub. Hallway bathroom, across from the twin bedroom and just after the entry door, with shower stall and washer (no dryer).


The nearest underground stops are Sloane Square and South Kensington, each a lovely 14 to 18 minute walk depending on the route taken. The Kings Road is just a few blocks away, with excellent transportation to the London Underground or to various attractions, as well as flush with shops, restaurants and theaters. Chelsea Embankment, on the riverfront, is just a block away.

This is a GREAT area, combining the nice, safe, quiet streets of residential Chelsea with the bustle and thrill of the posh King’s Road amenities. We love staying here.

Rental Details:

Minimum 7-night rental. Any nights booked beyond the minimum 7 will be pro-rated per night at the weekly rate.

Included in the rental price is the cost of heat & electricity, use of appliances, weekly linen change if staying longer than 7 nights, departure cleaning, and a Greeter who meet you at the flat to show you around, introduce you to the particulars of the property, the appliances, and answer any questions you have.

Arrivals before 8:30am or after 4:30pm will require transfer service (car hire from the airport or train station) with our London transfer partners. Your driver will have the keys to your flat and will let you in. The Greeter will be by the following morning.

Security Deposit:

The property requires a security/damage deposit between £ 350 – £ 1000 to be held by credit card until after departure. The Greeter who meets you on arrival will return at departure to check you out of the property at the end of your stay.

Accessibility Notice:

The Lodge 2 bedroom Chelsea flat enjoys good but not universal accessibility, with a single small stone step at the front of the building and three stairs from the entryway into the main part of the building. Otherwise, there is a wide hallway from which the flat is reached on the ground floor.


This lovely and elegant flat is situated close to Chelsea Bridge and Albert Bridge and so is in a terrific location for runners, bicyclists, or anyone who might enjoy outdoor activities across the river in Battersea Park. Within a few blocks you’ll find many gardens and green areas, including Chelsea Physic Gardens and Albert Gardens.

For lucky kids traveling to London and enjoying the Chelsea area, Chelsea Skate, Chelsea Adventure Playground and Battersea Park Adventure Playground are all close by. Chelsea is a terrific place from which to explore London. Some of the attractions in reasonable walking distance include the Victoria and Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum, Royal Albert Hall. The theater district, shopping and other museums (National Portrait Gallery, The British Museum) are all just a quick tube ride away.
