Flat Description:

Rosary Gardens 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom South Kensington short-term apartment rental: A  very nice, tidy and perfectly comfortable holiday flat, terrific for a small family or two friendly couples traveling in London. The second floor (3rd level, no lift, exactly 32 short steps up from the ground floor entry) apartment has sash windows in each room, wall-to-wall light blue carpets, and fresh off-white walls making for a light and bright home from home with nice views of the classic Georgian architecture or gardens outside.

Taking cues from the painting in the dining area, the tasteful, casual decor has a subtle Asian influence, from the black lacquer look of the table and chairs to the hammered silver hutch in the sitting area. A very-well priced flat, Rosary Gardens B is perfectly located in South Kensington, close to both Gloucester and South Kensington tube stations, offering easy access to all the charms of central London.

This short-let also benefits from being in very close proximity to two other flats on the same block, often able to be rented by large groups of leisure or business travelers hoping to stay close to each other.

The combined living and dining area is open, comfortable for 4, and bright with 3 sash windows, tall ceilings and great light. The comfortable sofa, in brown suede, seats 3 with room, or 4 in a squeeze on the chaise portion, and faces the 32″ flat screen television on a beautiful black and silver hutch by the door. Side tables, wall-mounted shelving, reading lamps and extra seating at the slim glass desk by the window complete the everything-you-need-and-nothing-you-don’t decor of the apartment.

The sitting room extends toward the dining area, where there is a good sized glass top dining table seating 4 to 6, with comfortable seating on modern molded black chairs and an interesting piece of Asian inspired art on the wall. Across from the dining table is the open, galley-style kitchen.

A few steps behind the dining table in the front room is the galley-style kitchen. Large enough for two people to negotiate together, it is fully equipped with stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer and a large fridge/freezer. Cabinet space abounds, with cupboards reaching up to the ceiling.

Rest assured the bedrooms will be very nicely made up on your arrival – we had to do a fast faux-bedmaking without the nice duvet covers and fresh linens on our photo-taking visit, as a lovely family had just left and the cleaners had not yet come through. We do have additional photos from the property managers if you’d like the fully-dressed-beds impression!

Double Bedroom:
Good size main bedroom on the entry level, with Double bed, is just a few stairs down from the living area, and immediately next to the family bathroom. It has large closets, bedside tables, reading lamps and nice views of the typical back gardens of London.

The nearby bathroom (accessible from the hallway) has a kidney-shaped bathtub and shower-over-tub (with one of those partial glass partitions that one finds in many parts of Europe, rather than a shower curtain), wash basin and loo.

Twin Bedroom:
Up about six steps from entry hall, or a few steps down the hall (same level) from the sitting/dining room is the small twin bedroom. A built-in closet along the back wall provides good storage. The window looks out to the typical London brickwork and gardens – a classic view.

The nearest underground stops are  Gloucester (4-5 minutes) and South Kensington, a lovely 10 to 15 minute walk, depending on your chosen route.

Nearby (at the Gloucester tube station) is the very large and incredibly stocked flagship Waitrose market, plus a local Sainsbury, a mini-Tesco, and a few more blocks to a Marks & Spencer food shop (with their fabulous fabulous fabulous 10 for 2 weekend dinner specials!), plus so many excellent restaurants to accommodate every budget.

Nearby rentals, also on Rosary Gardens, can be rented together to accommodate large groups, reunions, retreats, or business travelers requiring accommodation in close proximity:

Rosary Gardens Flat A – 2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Apartment Rental
Rosary Gardens Penthouse Flat – 3 Bedroom, 3 Bathroom upper floor maisonette
Rosary Gardens Ground Floor – 1 bedroom lower ground floor
Rosary Gardens Lower Ground Floor – 1 bedroom garden level flat

No pets, and no smoking allowed at this light filled London home away from home.

Rental Details:

Minimum 7-night rental, additional nights will be pro-rated per night at the weekly rate.

Included in the rental price is the cost of heat & electricity, use of appliances, weekly linen change if staying longer than 7 nights, departure cleaning, and a Greeter who meet you at the flat to show you around, introduce you to the particulars of the property, the appliances, and answer any questions you have.

*Cost consideration tip: If you are considering a 5-night stay, we suggest doing the math on a hotel or serviced flat rental for the 5 nights versus this flat for 7 nights. Because VAT is not charged extra for self-catering properties, you will likely do better to rent this well-priced London vacation rental for a week – even if leaving after 5 nights – than you would to rent a hotel or serviced flat for just the desired 5 nights.
